The spirit of Thanksgiving is so pure, giving us all the gift of slowing down to notice. Slowing down to think about how fortunate we are with what we do have in our lives instead of the usual focus of what we feel we are missing. This spirit is quickly clouded with commercialism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. An immediate shift from the “I am so fortunate to have” back to the “I want” mentality.

Lets challenge that shift! Our human family is joining hands, holding onto the spirit of the holidays. Join us in supporting the Global movement #GivingTuesday. A movement that aligns with all of our hearts, as it is rooted in love and kindness.

Start a Facebook Fundraiser:

#GivingTuesday has generated some serious momentum and in doing so Facebook and PayPal have agreed to match all charitable donations up to $7 Million. Facebook has been so nice to layout a step-by-step process for you to create a fundraiser through their platform. Pick a personal cause or a larger organization, using your voice to give power to the cause of your choice.

Share your experience on social media:

One thing that is always at our fingertips and costs us nothing is sharing our voice, our perspective, and our experience through social media. Maybe you want to provide inspiration to support #GivingTuesday, use your platform to extend the reach of a non-profit, or share your experience on #GivingTuesday. Spread your message with the world through the reach of social media.

Volunteer Locally:

What cause speaks to you? Within our communities there are so many great causes. Connection is a huge factor of our motivation. Theres is no wrong way to give your time, but maybe you can find a cause that has touched your life in some way. It’s pretty powerful seeing how life comes full circle.

Donate a piece of your last paycheck:

Maybe you cut out a few lattes this month and instead donate that amount to an organization that you’re passionate about. If you don’t have one in mind check out #GivingTuesday to see how you can have an impact on your community!
