Wake Up with Love, Self-Love
When it comes to giving anything in life it must start with yourself. We all want to give to others, but so often we tend to reach outward before we give inward. The voice, or if you’re like me “voices”, in our heads should be constantly building us up with love, using kindness through our struggles, and affirming our limitless potential. After all, what we think we become. Our thoughts become our beliefs, which influence our actions, and those actions determine our reality. Track back to the being of that cycle with me for a second, it all starts with OUR thoughts. How empowering is that, knowing we are the creators of our lives?
Sit with yourself for a couple of minutes. Where is your mind traveling? Are these thoughts serving you? Do you agree with the?
We have put together a morning routine to add to your "Self-Love" practice. A routine that you can turn into habits. Healthy habits that have been proven to increase productivity, problem-solving, stress management, and overall positivity in your life.
1. Wake up with an attitude of gratitude. Turn the alarm off and refrain from checking emails. Think about how you woke up… to a whole new day full of possibilities. What a gift in itself. Speaking of gift take this time to think of 5 things you are grateful for. Really embody the gratitude and love that these thoughts bring you. Gratitude alone has the ability to transform your life, so if you only do this one thing every morning, you will be pouring love into your cup.
2. Meditate, connect with yourself. It can be as short as 5 to 10 minutes to sit with your breath, hear yourself wake up, and sit still in your space. It is so important to create time to sit in stillness with yourself. There are many different forms of mediation such as guided or transcendental and no one is better than the other. Its just a matter of exploring it to find what works for YOU. Regardless of what form you chose, the positive effect it will create in your life is remarkable.
3. Drink a glass of water. We’ve taken care of your mind filling it with thoughts of gratitude, connected you to your spirit through breath and mediation. Now its time to give some love to your body. Like breathe, we tend to forget the healing power of water. Especially when it comes to waking our system up to take on the rest of the day. Hydrate, purify, and spark up your metabolism with one glass of water each morning.
4. Write positive affirmations for yourself. We have checked in on all levels. Connected to our mind, body, and spirit and now have a few more moments before we step outside to take on the day. Its time to embrace, appreciate, and love yourself and the beautiful creation that you are. Affirmations will help to reframe your thoughts to align with what serves you.
You are love. You are loved. You are healthy. You are abundant. You are capable of whatever you set your heart on. Everything you need in life is within you.
Like with anything in life you, it’s about finding what works for you. This routine is a collection of ways that have been proven to add quality to your life in a variety of different ways. It is most certainly not a “must do” for all, but we do encourage you experimenting with one or two of them. Try it for a week. There’s a saying “little by little, it becomes a lot”. Commit, show up, and follow through. The act of committing to try something new alone is an act of self-love and you deserve every bit that you give yourself (and more).
They say everything in moderation… and with most things I agree. However, when it comes to self-love, pour that into your mind, body, and spirit like your life depends on it. After all, your best life does!
Be yourself. Love yourself. Be one. Be kind.
